The Weekly Word: Dublin Adventure

Welcome back friends, to another Monday edition of The Weekly Word! As you can see, I’ve changed up the featured image for The Weekly Word again. I still wasn’t happy with how it looked, so I’m trying this, and hopefully third time’s the charm. I had a busy week this week, and lots to catch you up on. I’m also going to include some photos with this week’s post, something I’m gonna try do a little more, just make things a little different around here.

Last Monday I took myself off

to Dublin for a few days. I needed to get out of the house or I would have died of boredom! I caught up with my parents and our dog, Abby. It was great to see her, and see her in such great form, because she’s been very sick lately, and it was quite an ordeal. Tuesday I went and visited my grandparents. It had been a while since I’d seen them, and they only live twenty minutes away from where my parents live, so it was great to catch up with them. And then on Wednesday, I visited some friends. We had lunch together and chilled out for the day before they kindly drove me all the way home.

Butler’s Caramel Cappuccino

While I was in Dublin, I introduced myself to a salted caramel cappuccino by Butler’s Chocolate Cafe. I had heard of Butler’s and passed it on many occasions before, and even lived 5 minutes away from one for a time while living in Dublin, but never had one before. I finally treated myself to one on this adventure to Dublin, and omigosh it was amazing! They even give you a free chocolate when you order a drink–even better again! I’ll definitely be getting one again, the next time I’m near one!

That was pretty IMG_1238much the highlight of my week. I was working for the rest of it, so there wasn’t much more excitement. I did manage to get ahold of some chalkboard effect Weekly Planner from a store called Tiger. It’s a great little shop that sells all sort of household things, from household, to arts and crafts to gardening and electronics–it’s basically a mini Ikea! The planner came with a stick of chalk, but it wasn’t great for writing with, so I got myself a liquid chalk marker, which writes so much better. Here’s a look at it stuck up on the wall in the corner of my bedroom. I love it so much, and it’s great for planning out my blog posts for the week, and other bits that I have to do. I definitely recommend if you have a Tiger near you to get these, or something similar if you can find it.

So that was more or less my week! How was yours? I’d love to know, so let me know in the comments, or link me to your weekly update post, if you happen to write one of those too. I’ll see you guys back here on Wednesday! Until then 😉
