The Weekly Word

The Weekly Word: In Which I Share All The Links!

Howdy folks. Another Monday, another week! This week’s Weekly Word thankfully is coming to you on time. I hope you enjoy reading these little weekly updates, as I really enjoy writing them, and I get great satisfaction from sitting down and unloading about how my week went, whether it be good or bad.

What did I get up to this week? Not as much as last week, I can tell you that much, but I did get to go on another great adventure! This week I went to Trim Castle, located about a 25 minute drive away from where I live here in Co. Meath, Ireland. I love going to Trim Castle, it wasn’t my first time there, and it probably won’t be the last either, so if you ever find yourself in Ireland, it’s a great spot to visit–and the tour is excellent. I took lots of photos when I was there too! I actually remembered to take my actual camera with me and take proper photos instead of having to take them on my iPhone. I have a few beauties I’d like to share so expect them in my Wordless Wednesday posts in the next couple of coming weeks.

Speaking of Wordless Wednesday, did you see the one I shared with you on Wednesday just gone? I was particularly pleased with that photo! I also managed to get up a little review/opinion post on The Ocean At The End Of The Lane by Neil Gaiman. I’ll be hopefully getting around to doing a few more of these type of posts, and I am pleased to say they are/will be in association with my local bookstore Blackbird Books!

Whoops–Sorry for all the links there. Anyways, last week I also informed you guys that I am watching Once Upon A Time on Netflix! I just finished series 2 last night, and I am thoroughly enjoying this show. I would even go so far as to say I am addicted. Not a day has gone by since starting it, that I haven’t watched at least 2 episodes. I think I even went as far as to watch 5 or 6 episodes one of the days–oops!

I’ve started reading The Poison Throne by Irish author Celine Kiernan. I’m only a chapter in, as of writing this, but its bound to be a thumper. If you’re interested it’s a YA, science-fiction/fantasy book, and it is number one in The Moorehawke Trilogy. Click here for all the info on Amazon.

I also found some new music this week that I’d like to share with you guys. As you know I am a huge fan of the YouTube, and one of the guys I watch, Connor Franta, has just released a music compilation called Common Culture. It’s real easy listening music from new/upcoming artists, as well as other musicians which Connor thinks deserve some lime light. All the info in the respective link. Again, apologies for throwing all these links at you.

Ooh, I also went out Friday night! My cousin was participating in a charity amateur boxing event along with a couple of others to help raise funds for a local suicide prevention and awareness charity. It was a great night, and even though she didn’t win her fight, it was all for a good cause, and we all got very merry and I had to go to work the next day and I had an awful sore head and… you get the picture!

IN OTHER NEWS: Wee Bit Wordy once again has it’s very own TWITTER! Yes, there was a Twitter for WBW originally when it was set up, but it didn’t get the attention/dedication required, so now I’m setting it up again and you can follow all the things WBW-related and other stuff by following @weebitwordyblog!

That’s it for this week, I’ll see you Wednesday for a Wordless Wednesday, and all going to plan, I might have a little something for you on Friday! If not I’ll see you next Monday for another edition of The Weekly Word! 😉
