The Weekly Word: In Which I Overslept!

Hello everybody–forgive me if I seem a bit off today, it’s 1:30PM as I write this and I’ve just woken up!

I actually feel horrendous for sleeping this late into the day–I haven’t done it since I was a teenager on my summer holidays from school, and even then I would try to wake up some point before mid-day! Now I’m looking out my window and I see that it’s windy, overcast, and looks down right horrid out.

Okay, so what have I been up to this week? If you read my Weekly Word post from last week, you’ll know that last week kind of escaped me. My friends and I went on impromptu adventures to nearby counties, here in Ireland. We started on Monday, we visited local Co. Kilkenny which is only an hour and thirty minutes drive from Dublin, did the tour of Kilkenny Castle (approx. 1hr) and were back in the car and on our way home then. It was a great day. The following day, we went a little further to Co. Clare, which is a 3 hour drive, as it is on the far side of the country. We drove there, visited the Cliffs of Moher (after a few pit-stops along the way), and then made our way home again. I do believe it was somewhere around 11:30PM-12:00AM when we got home! Again, fun times, and we hope to do it again soon!

With all our adventuring, I didn’t actually get home until Wednesday evening. Which didn’t give me a lot time, as I was back in work on the Thursday, in Friday, Saturday and yesterday, Sunday. Maybe that explains why I slept so much this morning? The week catching up on me? I never got a Friday post out here on WBW, which I apologise for, but there probably wouldn’t have been a Wednesday one either only I remembered “Wordless Wednesday” and posted a photo of the Cliffs of Moher! I also never got anything posted over on Dean’z Doodlez, my art blog, which I am a little mortified over, but again I blame the events of the week I just had. Oh, I did get out a comic-strip on Monday, but that is only because I had it scheduled. Everyone seems to be enjoying them, so expect them on a regular basis on a Monday from now on. In fact there’s one going up at some stage today, so keep an eye out for that!

Another excuse I’m starting to conjure for my little sleep-in this morning is that I’ve started watching Once Upon A Time on Netflix! I love it so much–I just finished season 1, and am on ep.2 of season 2, and still have another 2 seasons to watch which is great! If you’re not familiar with it here’s a little info I snipped from google:

“Once Upon a Time” tells the story of a new world, one in which fairy-tale legends and modern life collide. Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) is comfortable in her life as a bail bonds collector when Henry — the child she gave up a decade earlier — suddenly shows up. He is convinced that she is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, who sent her away before the Evil Queen could cast a spell, freezing the fairytale world in time and bringing them to present-day Storybrooke, Maine. After taking Henry home, Emma decides to stay in the town to keep an eye on him, and she discovers he may not be wrong after all.

I’ve also started watching a few animes as well. The first one is Death Note. I can’t believe I haven’t watched this sooner! It’s about this guy who finds a death god’s notebook, and whenever he writes a person’s name in the book, they die! It’s really good–if you’re into anime and stuff like that its a definite must! I’ve also been watching Attack on Titan, but I’ve only watched up to episode 5, as I’ve only read the first volume of the manga, and that’s where they coincide. I want to read the manga, then watch the anime, so I have to wait until I get my hands on volume 2 of the manga before I watch anymore to the anime. I love it though. It has been described as Japan’s version of The Walking Dead and I completely agree with it!

Okay, I’ve rambled on enough for today! That’s it for me for this week, I’ll see you all next week for another Weekly Word update! 😉
