Welcome back to WeeBitWordy folks, welcome back to The Weekly Word, and a big welcome to 2016 as we enter the New Year! Yes, 2016 is upon and to be honest I feel no different now than I did a few days ago.
So have you made any New Year’s Resolutions? I know that’s probably the last thing you want to be reading about right now, considering every other Tom, Dick and Harry are probably blogging about it. In all seriousness though, I have made a few resolutions myself and here’s hoping I can stick to them–although we are only on day 4, so it’s early days yet…
First up is my eating habits. Now, before you start, I’m not going on a diet and I’m not going to start eating salads. What I mean is I want to *stop* eating bad things like fast food and junk and sweets and basically anything that is bad for you. I’m going to go about my day eating home cooked meals, hand made lunches for work as opposed to buying my lunch out when I’m working, and trying to actually eat a proper breakfast in the morning as opposed to a quick cereal bar and half a cup of coffee. I also want to reduce, if not completely cut out fizzy drinks (or soda) from my diet. I used to drink three-four cans of Coke Zero a day, so if I can help it I’m going to limit myself to a maximum of one, if I really feel like I need one, or none at all if possible.
Next is my blogging. Over the Christmas period I realised that Dean’z Doodlez is really getting to become quite popular, and I want to start posting daily there (which I have successfully done so far), because feedback has been really good, and hey, we just hit the 500 follower mark over there too! As for WeeBitWordy, I think I’m going to take things easy for January, and see where we go from there. I’m still not too sure where I’m going with this blog, as opposed to sharing my Weekly update post, I don’t know 100% what else I want to share here. Book reviews are always good, and I’m really interested in talking about comic books here too, but I know a lot of my audience aren’t comic book enthusiasts. So bare with me there with that one.
I also mentioned I wanted to start doing either weekly or monthly goals here on WBW again. It’s just a matter of seeing whether I have anything worth setting goals for. The reason I stopped posting goals in the first place was because by the end of it, the goals I was posting were pointless, silly and not very important. If I am going to do it this time, I want to make sure that the goals are decent and worthwhile, and things that I won’t forget about as soon as I finish writing this post, and goals that I might actually complete by the time next week’s Weekly Word comes around. So let’s give it a go the, shall we?
Goals for the Week of January 4, 2016:
-Stay on top of my New Year’s Resolutions
-Figure out what I’m doing (content wise) with WeeBitWordy
-Redesign The Weekly Word’s feature image.
I also mentioned in previous posts that I’ve been working on some projects that I’ve been keeping underway hat, and I’ve decided that I’m going to keep them there for reasons. To put it simple: I’ve picked up a second job on top of my part time work for my local art supply store, and I’m really happy with it, but until things have progressed a bit more than where they’re at, at them minute, I’m going to keep it to myself if you don’t mind.
And with that, that covers pretty much this week’s edition of the Weekly Word. I know it was moreso telling you what I’m doing this year as opposed to what I got up to during the week, well let’s face it, my future is looking a lot brighter at the minute. I’ll catch you guys next week with another update, and until then 😉
