Hello there humans, and welcome back to another edition of The Weekly Word. For those of you who don’t know, The Weekly Word is my weekly blog post where I catch you up on everything I got up to during the week!
This week was long. I didn’t get to leave the house until Thursday! I was quite annoyed about the whole thing. Generally, I don’t leave the house on a Monday if I can get away with it, but on either Tuesday’s or Wednesday’s to go into town to the local shops, do whatever jobs I have to do and maybe pop into my local bookshop and grab a coffee while reading a really good book. Then I usually work Thursday through Sunday, so I don’t really plan anything. That’s normally the plan, except this week it was Thursday before I got to go into town and do my jobs, then have a quick coffee because I then had to go into work. What stopped me on Tuesday: I had to help my mother babysit, so that didn’t bother me immensly, as I know it can be difficult to mind to children under the age of two on your own, so I gladly helped out. Wednesday I had to babysit too, which I didn’t mind, but it meant I couldn’t go downtown. Oh well… sometimes these things happen–you just have to suck it up and get on with it!
So, generally I work Thursday through Sunday, but this week I only worked Thursday evening and Sunday. This meant I got to take myself off to Dublin on Friday to celebrate my friend’s birthday! To mark the occasion we went to Nandos (which do a fab cappuccino!), followed by going to see Captain America: Civil War in the cinema. It was great! I loved it! It was so good, that I would gladly go and see it again if I had to/was asked to! It was very different from the comic book/graphic novel event which I was a bit disappointed about at first because I would have loved to have seen some of the elemants from that on the big screen, but at the same time, it made it a movie of it’s own. What was great as well was that we had a friend with us who hadn’t really been keeping up to date with all the recent Marvel/Avengers related movies, and he was still able to follow along with what was going on, which I thought was great too! One thing I didn’t like about the movie was it’s title. It really should have been The Avengers: Civil War, because there was a lot (but not all) of The Avengers in it.
So that was more or less my week! How was yours? I’d love to know, so let me know in the comments, or link me to your weekly update post, if you happen to write one of those too. I’ll see you guys back here on Wednesday! Until then
