What are Marvel at, huh? They’ve gone and duped us! Duped us I say! Guardians of the Galaxy was released last Wednesday, with a striking cover illustration of the female hero Captain Marvel, and the cover even tells us “and now… CAPTAIN MARVEL”, but when you open up your copy, no your eyes are not deceiving you, and no you haven’t received a faulty comic. You’ve become a victim of FALSE ADVERTISING!
Brian Michael Bendis even went on to tell us that it isn’t the first time we’ve been duped into buying comic like this, but personally, I’ve been collecting this title since the crossover with All-New X-Men in The Trial of Jean Grey.
Here’s some more info on the issue:
With the entire galaxy gunning for the Guardians and Peter Quill missing, its time to bring in a little help. Captain Marvel JOINS the Guardians of the Galaxy! • But where in the universe is Star-Lord? And what does his disappearance mean for the safety of earth?!
“Captain Marvel JOINS the Guardians of the Galaxy!” WHERE?!? I don’t see her anywhere but on the cover!
