Welcome back to another monthly recap post here on WeeBitWordy. I say this most month’s, but I actually cannot believe we’re already in November. It feels like only last week that I was sitting down to write my October monthly post.
October was a great month, one of my favourites, seasonally, as I love autumn and Halloween. Between the falling leaves and the slightly colder days as well as all the spookiness of Halloween itself. I think my favourite part of the whole month was decorating the house for Halloween.
Also this month, in case you didn’t notice, I have gotten back to posting here a little more regularly. After my Hello October post I sat myself down after reading a certain blog post, and got myself back into gear. Initially I thought I’d only be posting once a week, until I got back into the swing of it, but now I am posting twice a week here on the blog (Monday’s and Thursday’s), which I find a lot more do-able. Previously I was trying to post three times a week, and I think what happened in the end was that it got all too much for me trying to create enough content to fill three blog posts a week, and I think this lead me to my reading slump as I felt I wasn’t reading for fun anymore, that I was reading with the end goal of having to review and critique it here on the blog, and that just sucked all the fun out of it for me. I’m over that now, and now I feel like I’m back in control.
I’m going to use that transition to inform you guys of a little blogging event going on called NanoPoblano. In simple terms, its the blogging equivalent to NaNoWriMo, but instead of trying to write 33,333,333,333 words every day, you simply write and post a blog post! Simple right? I attempted it last year, and it burned me out by day 26. I was initially going to do it again this year, but I thought it might be too soon after only getting back into the blogging swing of things here, so I’m keeping it safe at 2 posts a week. If you want to participate though, feel free–here are all the links:
So if you’ve been thinking of setting up your own blog, or looking to add more content everyday, I recommend you check these guys out, because even if you don’t participate in NanoPoblano, the guys that are participating will lend you a helping hand with whatever blogging needs or questions you have, because they are the friendliest folks on the interwebs!
Alright-y then folks, I think that’s all I have for you guys in this monthly recap post. I’ll see you folks on Monday with a really fun one that I think everyone will enjoy! 😉
Have you read all my October Blog Posts yet?
