If you are reading this, congratulations: you made it through 365 days of awfulness! Alas, here we are, January 1st 2017. A new day, a new year — please be a kinder year to us 2017, the last one was torture!
You may or may not have noticed I took a little break from here on WBW for the month of December. I’m back now, and ready to get back into the swing of things! I’m currently making my way through a little stack of books that are sitting on my bedside table, and will have a review or two coming in the next couple of days. I’m coming at the blog now with a fresh head, a fresh start after what was a dreadful end to NanoPoblano in November! Congrats to those of you who made it through to the end.
I guess I’ll let you guys in on what’s happening in my little noggin at the minute: Like I mentioned, I’m currently working my way through some books, as I seriously fell behind on my reading in the last couple of months. I’m after getting some new books off some publishers, and was gifted a book or two, so expect to see them pop up here shortly and hopefully! I also want to get back into a routine here on the blog of posting on set days. I’m not sure yet if I want to post 2 or 3 times a week just yet, so that’s still a little up in the air. Lastly, I want to have a little more variety on the blog here, so I might be doing some tag posts, maybe a movie review or two (I want to watch more movies in 2017, that’s for sure!), and the odd graphic novel post here and there. I know people aren’t as keen about them, so I won’t be doing to many of those.
I’ve set myself a few goals for the month of January, as opposed to doing a New Year’s Resolution. I find with NYR’s, you start with good intentions, and then they get completely forgotten about. For 2017, I’m going to set myself monthly goals. Not too many, as I don’t want to burden myself either. Here’s what I’ve got so far:
- Start reading more prolifically/regularly.
- Keep up with a regular blog schedule (posting either Monday’s and Thursday’s, or Mon, Wed, Friday’s).
- Start focusing more on my side project Dean Kealy Cards (another something that I more or less neglected in the last several months).
That’s it for now! Happy New Year everyone, here’s hoping it’s a good one! I’ll see you in a couple of days. 😉
