Building Rome: Week 4

Hey guys, today marks 1 month of me partaking in Green Embers’ Building Rome Project! It has been a very fun month, I have to admit, and having to set myself these goals each week certainly is making the days go in faster! This week though, I didn’t get very far with my goals at all! Keep reading to see just how badly I did. As for the video, I just found this amazing singer during the week! Have a listen, isn’t she awesome???

  • Finish the book I failed to finish last week and start a new one!

Eh… no! But fear not! This shall not interfere with the WBW Book Corner! Even if I fall behind on my daily/weekly reading routine, I shall dig something out from the trenches to serve to you faithful readers, even if it has to be a graphic novel or a book I read ages ago and never reviewed! Hopefully this week I read some more!

  • Continue to sketch daily, regardless of whether with watercolors or not!

Yeah… this didn’t really happen either. See… I’m after getting a few more shifts than I would normally get in work and this has me falling behind in some of my daily routines. While I schedule most of my posts in advance (bar this one of course), my other blog can tend to get a little left behind when there are daily interruptions (but more of my job on Tuesday–exciting news, actually!).

  • Pet-sit the dog and two cats without killing them or going insane!

Thankfully, its only the two cats I ended up having to mind and all is going well. I only have to feed them when they shout at me. Apart from that, they tend to take care of themselves. As for the pup, a friend volunteered to take her off our hands for a few days, considering that I am working more and the ‘rents are away! One less thing to worry about.

  • Cycle-cycle-cycle! Try to go out on my bicycle at least once a day!

*Snorts!* Again, work got in the way–technically for this one I should cycle to work, but I didn’t! I was out only the once this week on the bike. Next week I shall cycle to work, therefore completing this goal! ๐Ÿ˜€

Now for this weeks goals:

  • Finish reading at least ONE book!
  • Cycle to work, if not everyday!
  • Try not neglect my blogs!
  • Make a new print for a family member!

I’m going to leave it at that–what with work, I don’t want to set myself too many tasks or I won’t be able to complete them, just like this week! Make sure to check out Green Embers’ blog and see how you too can participate in Building Rome! Slรกinte!

  1. My post for this last week is going to read much like yours, lol. I don’t even have a good reason for not completing mine. *sadness*

Keep up the hard work, can’t wait to hear your exciting news!

  2. Hey Dean, I’ve been looking over your blogs and noted especially that you want to share with other artists and writers.

My daughter is a budding graphic artist and my wife is working really hard on her writing– if I can lend you some support for your projects, will you help me support them in their art and writing projects? Let me know and I’ll give you further details.

This is incredible… kudos to you for participating in Building Rome… I hope to hear from you!

    1. I’d be interested to know more definitely ๐Ÿ™‚ maybe email me? It’s deankealy (at) gmail dot com ๐Ÿ™‚ cheers for the nice comment
